Victorious Mindset: 3 Keys to Starting a New Week with Confidence and Trust in God

Image
Starting a new week can be an exciting and daunting experience. The possibilities and challenges that come with each new week can sometimes be overwhelming, but having the right mindset can make all the difference. Here are three keys to developing a winning mindset for a new week, along with some scripture references to encourage you along the way. 1.      Focus on God’s Promises      One of the most important aspects of having a winning mindset is to focus on what God has promised us, rather than the circumstances of the moment. When we focus on God’s promises, we can trust that He is in control and that He has a plan for our lives. As we start each new week, it’s important to remember that God’s promises never fail and that He is always with us, no matter what. Scripture Reference: "For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God." - 2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV)

GOD HAS A PLAN FOR YOU

Image
GOD HAS A PLAN FOR YOU   Every one of us born of a woman; was born with a purpose. The Lord said to Jeremiah, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born I set you apart. I appointed you as a prophet to the nations" (Jeremiah 1: 5). Now, I am in no way saying that you are all prophets. I want to underscore and emphasize that all of us were born to be  and to do . Some people were created to keep the environment clean; so you are a cleaner, some to provide healthy food; so you are a farmer, some to keep us healthy; so you are a healthcare worker, some to transport us; so you are an incredible driver. Additionally, some to educate; so you are a teacher or lecturer or professor; some to protect our rights; so you are called to be a lawyer or serve in the justice system. God has a plan for you. If God has a plan for you, then he has a will, an intention to carry out a particular action; and there are steps and processes established ahead of time to ma

Obey God

Benefits of walking in obedience   This morning, this afternoon, or this day, whenever you are reading this, is the opportune time. As I woke up, I heard clearly in my spirit, "Joshua one." I did not hesitate but grabbed my Bible and started reading. As I read purposefully, I recognized that God wanted to draw my attention to the importance of being obedient. Many of us have an idea of what it means to obey a parent, a spouse or a loved one. We would not dare to offend them because of the respect and reverence we have for them from a place of love. God too, requires us to be obedient to him. Obedience to God means submission to His authority or requests. As I read, three major benefits of being obedient to God stood out to me. Benefits of obedience ·          When we obey God things go according to (His) plan - God told Joshua to be strong and courageous and in (v.5) of the same chapter,  “No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I wa

Life is the Greatest Teacher

The Greatest Faculty is the Faculty of Life   “The greatest faculty is the faculty of life.” This is the audible phrase that I heard while waking up this morning. As I ponder, the following thoughts came to mind. There are some things you cannot learn in school; there are some things you cannot learn  from others. There are some things you will have to learn based on your experiences. There are some facets of life that no one will be willing to teach you; you will just have to learn it on your own. It is not that others have not walked the path, it is not that others do not know, it’s simply the fact that they do not know how to help, and it is beyond their scope. Hold on to the experiences you have had and the encounters you are having. There is nothing new under the sun. Others have been where you are and have survived; you too will survive. Your current place or state is not your final destination, you will overcome! Some of us will go through different seasons of our lives, bruis

Walk in the Light

Image
Walk in the Light If you walk when the light is on, then you can find your way but if you try to move about in a dark room then there will be obstructions and one may stumble. Walking in the light in this context is walking as Jesus did. Walking here speaks to one’s lifestyle or behaviour. Jesus did not come to just talk; he came to walk with us, that is, to show us the way. Therefore, walking as Jesus did will require us to follow his example, to live according to his teachings, trust in him, and obey his words. How are we expected to walk in the light according to scripture?           Acknowledge that we have the propensity to sin but if we confess then the God of all grace will forgive us . Hence, we move from a place of darkness to light. For instance, if we steal then we are at a place of darkness but if we seek forgiveness then the darkness is removed and light comes once again as our conscience becomes clear.             By being obedient to God’s word .  We know that we

Where is your heart and treasure?

Where is your heart & treasure?   We have always been misguided into thinking that amassing wealth, properties (material possession) will determine our eternal hope. We must work hard to ensure our families are comfortable; necessities catered for and left with a surplus for emergencies. However, we have long thought this was all there is to life. There are three parts of man-spirit, soul and body (Thess. 5:23). It is with our bodies through its five senses that we interact with the things of the material world. Our soul then is where we experience things in the psychological real m . Our soul is composed of our mind, which enables us to think, reason, and remember. Our mind, emotion and will make up our soul. There is a part of us that is deeper than our soul and that is our spirit. It is by our spirit that we contact the spiritual realm. It is through our spirit that God is made real to us and the avenue through which we truly worship Him. "...and they that worship him

Generational wealth is biblical...stop hating on it!

Leaving an inheritance is the definition of true care.  We are in the age when people speak about money, wealth, or having the finer things of life, they are frowned upon. In all we seek to achieve, our highest aim should always be to leave a mark, a legacy from which those after us can benefit. It is not always selfish ambitions. Also, I am in no way projecting that this can only be done through financial means. Take a few minutes to assess your life, can you safely say you have built a legacy that your children or children's children can inherit? Some of us may not be able to answer confidently. Many of us have just been working for our ends, our joy, or seeming satisfaction. Shape your efforts in such a way where your labour will not be in vain. What are generational wealth and its biggest misconception?  Generational wealth is often referred to as the transference or passing down of assets from one generation to the next. The business-minded will tell you that assets are basica
