Life is the Greatest Teacher

The Greatest Faculty is the Faculty of Life 


 “The greatest faculty is the faculty of life.” This is the audible phrase that I heard while waking up this morning. As I ponder, the following thoughts came to mind. There are some things you cannot learn in school; there are some things you cannot learn from others. There are some things you will have to learn based on your experiences. There are some facets of life that no one will be willing to teach you; you will just have to learn it on your own. It is not that others have not walked the path, it is not that others do not know, it’s simply the fact that they do not know how to help, and it is beyond their scope.

Hold on to the experiences you have had and the encounters you are having. There is nothing new under the sun. Others have been where you are and have survived; you too will survive. Your current place or state is not your final destination, you will overcome! Some of us will go through different seasons of our lives, bruised, battered, some unscathed but the reality is, you will learn for life, you will learn to live; you will learn to ride the tides of life, surf the wind of struggles and stand on the mountain of triumph.

No formal educational institution can fully prepare you for life. Life itself is our teacher. Learn what you must, document the journey, remember the ‘highs’ and the ‘lows’ and know that this life will not kill you; its preparation for greater.

Formula for blessing

Blessing   We often think about being blessed in our limited scope to refer only to an increase in material gain. Whilst this is sometimes a sign that one is indeed blessed, this is only a fragment of what the word means; this word is much bigger than that and carries greater weight. To be blessed is to have God's favour upon your life- which transcends to every aspect of your life and everything that concerns your being. To be blessed simply means submitting your life to God's leading- do what he requires of you, live the way he commands and have genuine love in your heart for others (neighbour).   Types of blessings that we need - Spiritual blessings : We need to ensure that God has indeed selected us and set us apart for his grand plan; access to his grace and mercies for our daily walk with him. Faith gets God's Attention

                          Faith impresses God                                                     Many of us speak of having faith but we do not have it. Some of us have gone as far as mentioning that we have 'crazy' faith or big faith, but yet our actions are far from it. Most of the time what we demonstrate is nothing but lip service. True faith gets God’s attention, not mere lip service or wishful thinking . The Hebrew writer defined faith as “ the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen  (Heb.11:1)” .   Faith, therefore, means abandoning all trust in our resources, abilities, and reasoning-the things we see. It means relying instead on things we cannot see-God's promises, provisions, and his concern for us. An inner attitude alone does not define faith, though.
