The Unplugging

# U-N-P-L-U-G

The picture captions one who dares to do something different. This is a call to UNPLUG. Many of us have spent hours, days, weeks, months and years serving others, serving things that do not benefit our well-being. We have become so absorbed by what is happening around us-the chaos, the anxiety, the fear, the loss, the defeat, the trials and the failures that we have forgotten who we are, we have forgotten us. We are forgetting ourselves. Do yourselves a favour and UNPLUG!

The unplugging

Unplug from social media now and again. Unplug so your mind can be at ease. Free from the cares, the pressures and influences which divert attention from your inner self and your inner peace.
Unplug from people who are toxic and drains your energy by either depositing too much information or simply not being a positive impact-Gossiping and sharing peoples business you have no interest in whatsoever.
Unplug from toxic environments. Places that put a strain on your mind by reminding you of events that are heart-rending, depressing and painful.

HOW CAN I REPLENISH MYSELF?

There are simple low-cost ways of refuelling our being: reading a book of your choice, exercise, treating yourself to that dinner, participating in that empowerment forum and looking after YOU.

Remember in unplugging you MUST:

U- Understand that YOU are important
N- Never underestimate the POWER of alone time
P - Position yourself to be a BETTER person
L- Lean on CHRIST without whom nothing would be possible
U - Utilize your GIFTS to bring yourself happiness and
G- Give yourself time to understand the true PURPOSE of your existence.

It’s time to unplug… refuel and recharge.

  12. This is very fitting. I do not believe that we are quarantined merely to protect ourselves and others from the pandemic; it is time for reflection and restoration and separation - time to unplug to reconnect.
